When you talk about quality genuine leather cases, one cannot simply avoid Nomad out of the topic. When it comes to the famous AirPods cases from Nomad, they have a new challenger in the market.

They released their new case for the AirPods Pro and AirPods (Generation 1 & 2). Comes in black and brown for all the AirPods models. Notice the beautiful leather grains!
All of their AirPods cases are equipped with a lanyard and rounded carabiner. Please hook them up somewhere visible, nice cases do not belong in your pockets.
Mous has always sworn by their AiroShock™ technology to protect your precious device. They are coloured in green, often found in the inner side of their cases. The "cushion" is designed to absorb all the shock and prevent any damage to your device.
You can also find two rounded gel pads in top of the case which over your AirPods flap. The gel pads are there to ensure the case is well-adhered to your AirPods. In our test, the case stayed firm while we are swinging our AirPods Pro by the lanyard.
Not visible from the outside, there is an inner cutout for the pairing button on the back of your AirPods. We tried it and found that it is easy to press. Spot On
Our Verdict
There are not a lot of quality leather cases for AirPods in the market. Mous is definitely one of them. Nothing is being short-changed here. Like the two little sticky gel pads that did their job well.
However, our team here do still prefer the Nomad Rugged cases for AirPods. We do think the leather on Nomad is more on a minimalist design edge, with their waterproof Active series which basically kills the competition. It take care of your sweaty palm and wet hands after a hand wash.
If you want to feel more secured with a slightly thicker and protective case, you can safely consider Mous for your AirPods Pro and AirPods. Do not forget that it is cheaper, comes with a lanyard and carabiner. If you want a better leather with a rich patina that age well overtime, head over to the Nomad.
